Meet Vanessa
Snaith

I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the development of Kamaroi for the past twenty-one years and to have the opportunity of contributing to the leadership of a very special social space in which children, teachers and parents grow together.

Our Mission

Equipped for an
unknown future.

Kamaroi since its inception has been deeply steeped with the care and dedication of teachers who truly believe that their shared task is to make a significant contribution to the future of humanity.

As a small bespoke primary school, we experience how relationships are formed in which an unhurried and deep understanding of each individual child develops a strong foundation for life. The developmentally appropriate, experiential, and academically rigorous approach to learning, cultivates an earnest confidence in children who know themselves and have the tenacity of independent thought to meet the challenges of our changing world.

At Kamaroi Rudolf Steiner School, we integrate the arts in all academic disciplines offering a comprehensive inspired educational experience whilst fulfilling all of the NESA mandatory requirements. The engagement of core academic skills, a true curiosity and love for learning enriches ethical and moral faculties in our students that develops individuals who are able to take initiative and impart purpose.

"...We welcome you and your family to join us in striving to equip young people of the future with the sense of belonging and humane qualities needed to make a difference.."

It is striking that Rudolf Steiner had such insight and specific indications on educating children so long ago, yet unsurprising that Steiner Education today is so relevant for meeting our contemporary experience. Recognised and valued for its focus on children being autonomous human beings with the capacity to impart direction in their lives, we are a school that addresses values and tendencies that lay at the core of the human spirit. Our commitment to nurturing this start in life prepares children for their onward journey at a time of increasing challenges in our society.

It remains compelling to me that ongoing research in education, psychology, philosophy and the sciences only continues to ratify our pedagogical approach to fostering the human being for healthy development. It is honestly very heartening to be part of a community in which these priorities matter and thrive.

We welcome you and your family to join us in our striving to equip young people of the future with the sense of belonging and humane qualities needed to make a difference.

What is the Steiner Approach?

Our principles are based on Rudolf Steiner’s belief that human beings can maximise their potential through self-discipline and acquisition of knowledge.
